Collection consists of a scrapbook compiled from Katharine Geddes' service as a Red Cross relief worker in France during World War I. Included are photographs, correspondence, postcards, clippings, maps, memorabilia, reports, and lists. Many of the items are written by, or relate to, relief worker Zorah W. Bowman who served with Geddes and was also from Toledo. Correspondence and reports provide rich details of their work with wounded soldiers and prisoners of war in France and Germany. There are also letters and photographs sent from grateful soldiers (in English and French). The photographs and postcards include scenes of France and Germany during the war, particularly Paris, plus relief workers, and soldiers they worked with.
